Hmmmm... let's do the math. If you have 1.62 cubes and a sub that requires .217, then simple math would say that you could fit 7.47 subs in that box. I believe that Resonant only sells the RE8's in full subs, so we'd have to round down to 7.
However, then you have to look at where you'll be mounting the subs. Your largest panel will be 10x28 which could fit 3.5 of those bad boys in a line... again we'll round down to get 3. I believe that the mounting depth is less than 5 inches for top mounting, so you could probably get a way with mounting them on multiple sides without having the magnets touch each other.
If you wanted to port it, you could get 3 in there at most. However, I think it'd be a close call after sub displacement, port displacement, bracing, etc.
I personally would build a sealed enclosure that looked something like this, with a side panel taken off.

I would put an 8" on each of the angled baffles. Since you have more volume than you need, this would give you the cone area of 4 subs in the space it would take to mount 3. Your total cubic volume would drop to about 1 - 1.1 cu ft. Which would be more than enough for the 4 subs.
