Can I use 12 or 14 gauge speaker wire as a power wire for my accessories?

I dont have any electrical wire, but I got plenty of 12ga or 14ga speaker wire and I was wondering if it could be used to power a relay and a few fans in my set up?

I am going to wire my relay and fan.. and possibly make a false floor tomorrow.

If it's something small, sure. A fan would be fine.

my buddy uses it as power wire for his amp only outputs 300 watts but 3 runs of 16 gauge is fine.

i use speaker wire when i install door acutators, + and - in one shield is allot easier than fishing 2 wires. that is unless your going through molex

yep, I had speaker wire for the air bags in my civic..12 gauge I believe, worked great. Just remember OP, wire is wire - just different sizes of grades..as long as it is the appropriate size being used no worries.
