Can i run reconed subs with new subs

I have 2 12"jl audio w7s reconed by fixmyspeaker. They are not oem parts. Was told 1200rms single coil 2ohm. New are 1000rms 3ohm. Is their an issue if i run those in the same box? I'd keep them powered separately.

They will not perform the same and should not be used together in the same vehicle.

Along with what hispls said, you'd get some weird ohm load too....being the original subs are 3 ohm while your newly reconed subs are 2d ohms....

Ok thanks for the info i wasn't sure what would happen. I was told its not a good idea but not told why. Guess I'll keep looking for blown W7s

Yes i have thought about getting more W7s but finding blown ones for a reasonable price seems hard to do. I want more bass and I'm almost to the point where they go in another vehicle and i switch to 15" zv5s

If I remember correctly PSI said that they weren't rebuilding w7s anymore a couple years back on caco. May have changed?

I just had them rebuild 2 last month i only had 1but they found me another.

Nice! They've changed. There were many inquiries about rebuilding w7s years ago and they got away from them. Time to hunt for a pair myself.
