can i run a sundown 3k at .5 on this electrical?

not really. you have to have the power to charge those batterys so if he like only plays his sub for half the time he drives then yes but other wise he needs more alt power
Just throw them on a charger, is all you have to do. The batteries will get ran down yes and the stock alt will not recharge them that fast. If you did not bump your system for a few days they will come back just fine.

For the cost of smoking your 3Kd, you could buy a HO alternator and not have to worry OR just switch to some subs that will give you 1 ohm nominal.

Running amps below rated impedence is a poor idea for daily applications and really say for example you get 800W more out of your amp you'll get an audible decrease in SQ and minimal increase in audible output. Why risk your equipment for .5db? If you're competing you should be able to calculate your actual impedence at the freq you burp and plan around that AND you'll still want more electrical.

They can be ran @ .5 ohm but I don't see why you need to every day. I would just run it at one ohm. If it was for competition, I would say go for it. But you don't need to push your amp and your electrical to the limit every day. You need a bigger alternator. Adding batteries works just fine but you need the amperage to back them up.
