Hi guys,

I have alpine SWS-12D4, 1500 watt max power 500 watt rms

can i install this subwoofer to 4 channel amp ?

i mean how can i install one subwoofer to 4 channel amp so that i take the full amp power !!

i'll use either kenwood KAC-7405 amp or Kenwood KAC-8405 amp

both 720 watt max power with :

4 x 60W at 4ohms (0.08% THD) rated power output

4 x 90W at 2ohm (0.8% THD) rated power output

2 x 180W at 4ohms (0.8% THD) bridged rated power output

You could bridge the amp to 2 channels and run one channel per voice coil but unless you are extremely accurate with gain matching, you'll end up with poor sounding bass at best and at worst, burnt coils and/or amplifier.

I would consider finding a decent monoblock amp for your sub. Also, peak power is an irrelevant number.
