Can I hit 140+ with these subs??

im not really concerned about getting loud anymore, i just want to go with something more sq oriented anymore. (not that mine is sq by anymeans) im not sure what im doing next though.

The reason why there are so many opinions is because it is install dependent!Just because someone hit 149 with R's, doesn't mean you will. Just because someone hit 142 with a mag@1000, doesn't mean you can't hit higher(with a lot of work)

Yes i know someone would bring up the install independent argument and you are absolutely right. But some of these subs require a larger box to get loud while some can do it with a smaller enclosure.

The closest estimate I could get was for someone with the same car which was why I was hoping the cavalier owners to say which ones have been good and which ones have been a bad choice. Maybe I could have pm them who built there box or ask them directly for more info..

well if i where you id mod the cavalier to your best to get the biggest dems you can get with my box im still able to have room for a amp rack and put the back seat to let people that sit in the back seat catch hell lol

We did a 145db+ w/ 2 Si BM's and a Sundown SAZ-1500, but it's not all about the subs, enclosures have alot to do w/ it.

hey thanks for the quick replies guys. However, I just don't feel that my question has been answered . And the people that were fitting boxes that are larger, did you cut some metal or make any mods, ???Mine is a 2door 98 model. And yes I will have 900+rms to work with (its an arc audio 900.1D), but if people cant hit 140+ with that power in a cavy I want to know if its possible with 1500watts and which sub and what size.

we did a box in a 2dr 02 that measured 32wx15tx24d with no problem. I doubt if the 02 cavy is any bigger than a 98.

will do, i'll try to get ahold of him tomorrow. I'll know for sure by the end of the week though, he's supposed to come down to the shop and help out on an install on thursday.
