Looking to change my substage. I currently have a db drive platinum 12in running off 700watts. My criteria for my next sub is that I want to get a daily driver which is much louder, with some SQ. Maybe 60%spl and 40%sq. Right now I have my sub metered at 136db so I want to hit 140+db with my next system. It must also hit very low since I listen to rap, and some dance. I will not have it sealed off as I need the rear seats for passengers and the sub must accommodate a box for a 98 Cavalier, which cannot be larger than 30w x 15h x 16d.

Choices so far:

Stereo Integrity Magnum

Fi Q

Stereo Integrity BM

other suggestions??

Power: Gonna wire my amp for 1 ohm so I will have about 900 watts to power it with. However if I cant reach my 140+ goal then I'll have to save up for another amp probably 1500+watts. k thanks for your help.

I've got pictures of the wall we did in a Cavalier, but nobody should try to emulate that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
kinkybikes swore he could get a 160 out of it.

i had to take the carpet out of my trunk first and squeez it in but i managed to ha
think thats bad i had to take carpet out cut the metal stripe across the back where the seat lays on and take the springs that hold the trunk up competly off and still had to cut the groves that the springs layed in took 4 hours to do and one pissed mother****er but hell i got 36 wide 17 inchs tall 20 depth for a gran total of 4.5 cubes for one DD9515 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

hey thanks for the quick replies guys. However, I just don't feel that my question has been answered .

And the people that were fitting boxes that are larger, did you cut some metal or make any mods, ???Mine is a 2door 98 model. And yes I will have 900+rms to work with (its an arc audio 900.1D), but if people cant hit 140+ with that power in a cavy I want to know if its possible with 1500watts and which sub and what size.

yes i had to cut that thing the seat lays on and take the bars out kind of like springs on con to that is my trunk doesnt stay up nor does it open by its self...ill try to get pictures tomorrow...

but if it where me id get one 15 type-r get BJ to build you a custom box and you should get a 140 atleast but its not a promise...seeing as how theres many other things you have to take into account...

2 12's would fit nicely in the about ~3.5-4 feet your working with.

You could easily hit 140+ in the cavy.

The reason why people haven't been specific is because hitting high #'s depends much more on the enclosure than on the sub, and is install dependent.

I have heard of many people hitting 140+ with ease with one 15" MAG. or Q's.

I'll let you know what I think of my mag at the end of the week after big 3 and box build.
