Can I hit 140+ with these subs??

Sounds like me, I had to cut out my rear deck (almost all of the metal part) in my 98 grand am to get my box in, made it a bit too high, and I'd rather be without rear speakers (not that I was using them anyway) than have to rebuild the box. Check out the pics in the sig of the enclosure, I got about a 1/4" above the top of the box

Meh, pictures arn't good angle to see it, but maybe its about a 1/2" gap, still tight though, can't even fit your hand above it

thats a negative on that one..i would choose any sub on that list over a type r..completely different class of subwoofer imo BTW I dont see why you couldnt hit 140 with 1 Q or mag seeing that im doin around 145 with a single 15" sx..in a trunk also..you might want a lil more power though

142.4 sealed up on the windshield playing music with a single 15" Si Mag on 1k rms. Not saying that thats what your install will do, just providing some examples

Now i remember why I hate researching car audio. So many opinions, I change my mind by the minute. Not even my qualitative research course can prepare me for this ahhaa.

How about this, Ill narrow the question more, which sub there requires the smallest box for a 15 and gets 140+ loudest with 900 watts. And is it even possible with 900? If not which one can do it with 1500?

You can definately get into the 140's even with that amount of power as long as you know what you are doing. How much do you want to spend on drivers?

oh heres another close call with my 15" ava, about 95% of the boxes I have designed have ended up sliding in like that, but thats what happens when you use the max dimensions you can to allow it to still slide in

The reason why there are so many opinions is because it is install dependent!

Just because someone hit 149 with R's, doesn't mean you will. Just because someone hit 142 with a mag@1000, doesn't mean you can't hit higher(with a lot of work)
