Can a system be installed into an Escape Hybrid?

im looking into buying an 08 escape hybrid. Just wondering if and how to install 1000wrms and if it will hurt the gas mileage or whatever.

Would I need any extra batteries or anything like that?

Gas mileage? That's a new one.

Yes you can hookup a system in an Escape with no ill effects. It is a loud vehicle. Owned and ran a system in mine for 5 years.

I've had a corolla for the last 6 years because I knew it would be good on gas. I've always wanted an SUV but they all have poor gas mileage. I thought an Escape Hybrid would give me similar gas mileage. I just didn't know exactly how hybrids work and how the current draw of the system would effect it.

I don't know how the escape hybrid works, but I am assuming it has some sort of main generator Nimh or Lipo battery. However I believe the lights ignition radio etc. run off of a standard 12v "car" battery. How big that battery is I have no idea, so you may have to upgrade your systems battery.
