Well I figure Id finally make just one thread chronicling the rebuild, getting it louder, etc....

So I finally have the outer shell done, save for a few supporting braces here and there at the top, and also the back ones, but those go on last because I have to ge the floor, roof, and sides done. But its almost time to start laying down mdf.

how big is the box gonna be and what subs/amps? looks ****in sweet though

IIRC its around 80 cubes?

I cant remember.

Subs are 2 apx 18s, amps are undecided atm.

In some places, I drilled directly into the car, but I also drilled 2 "runner" pieces in.

If you look at the pics you can see that on the outermost layer, there are 2x4s attatched directly to the car. This was great for several reasons. A strong base point, and also after I put the inside 2x4s in, the edge of the box lines up perfectly with the wheel wells.

Actually yes, it will be a 6th or a 4th order bandpass.
