C2 Audio Threatcon 2 12 problem

ah ok. Well he's here. Take the Motor Boot off. Did the magnets shift during shipping?

Motor looks ok. There is a chip in the top half of the motor though, not to large, about the size of a penny.

Pulled up on it a little bit and the cone came up, sounded like the coil scrapped the whole way up.

Honestly im not sure either. I tested them 2 days after i got them, everything seemed ok as far as i can remember, else there would have been a thread long before now. They have been sitting in my living room floor since that day until today.

I'm honestly not one of those people that sell bunk subs, i inspected and everything and made sure everything was 100 percent there were no issues with subs when i sent out and i'm 100 percent!

Honestly theres nothing to take a pic/vid of other than the chip in the motor. The cone is stuck up right now, only thing i can really do it cut it open.

Boxes looked ok after being dropped off. They were shipped in original packaging.

I can somewhat vouche for the audio guy he's local and I did the install .. Gains set right etc...

But I'm taking no sides hear ... Because I didn't uninstall

I honestly don't know what i can say but my word is the sub woofers were 100% before they left me, might of been from shipping i have no idea i wish you would of got back to me faster right when you received them but i don't know what to believe now because you've had them for several days and i personal don't know you but No offence please

I understand. Honestly i dont believe it was you, cause like i said i tested them 2 days after i got them, everything seemed ok then. And they have sat, i dont have an amp/box/anything to even install them, hell i dont even have any wires right now. Only thing i have is my 4 channel hifonics pushing a whopping 90 watts max, even clipped to hell i doubt that'd kill these subs.

I do agree with this. I don't wait longer than 3 days to test anything I buy. Just to be sure they are 100% unless I bought them in another fashion.

I don't think that chip will affect anything. Does the basket look perfectly round and flat? no bends like it had been dropped??

2 things.

As a seller, always take a video of your **** showing that it works while you state the date and the buyer of the item and then a brief video of you packaging the item. This will cover your *** so that you have proof it was in perfect order when it left your hands.

As a buyer, take a video of you unboxing and hooking up each item that you buy to verify that it works as stated. This will cover you as a buyer so that you can show that the item was defective upon you receiving it.

If this is done on both sides everytime, you will always know where the fault lies and it will also make it easier to file a claim with any shipping company

Like i said i tested them 2 days after getting them only because i worked until 11 at night the day they arrived. Everything was ok then. basket looks fine to me, looks just like the other one sitting beside me.

The coil is nice and shiny, definitely not burnt, doesnt look unwound either but i cant tell.
