Bye Bye GM....Thanx Liberals....

When was the last time you were in a 70's honda? I'm not talking about current day honda's I am talking about early honda's.
D series were introduced in the 80s, so maybe they did introduce some bad vehicles before then, I wasnt alive then so I cant comment, however I know for a fact Ill take a honda over gm vehicle any day, any comprable model

I will disagree with you on that. A friend of mine is on his 4th transmission on an 05 corolla type s.
I have to admit, the automatic transmissions in the smaller cars is something the foriegn cars cant do perfectly, but I know of alot more people who have had major transmission problems with domestic than import, but I dont know as many people with imports either.

You are a complete idiot.
Why?

When Honda was first introduced as a company what was its main Competition? Where wasn't very many economy cars at the time. The problem isn't something new, its years upon years of building on top of it.

I'm just going to agree to disagree here as I have a different opinion on the matter. I'm not saying your wrong, I however do not agree.

Bullshit..... We have a vein about a mile from my house that is 45 miles long and 200 miles deep and 3 miles wide full of oil.... One of 48 found within a 300 mile radius...
From the calculations BP and Shell have given us we have enough oil RIGHT now in the veins and pockets that are already being produced and drilled to survive another 100 years.... THATS not including the new pockets and veins they find...

Alaskas northern Slop... which hasnt been tapped yet has more oil than THAT!!!
you the only one that knows that. my best friend is an engineer for Shell. he said "no matter what new oil is found it will not be able to keep up with increased population usage in the next 30 years". plus if the US is sitting on that much oil why isn't it being tapped to increase out domestic value? sorry dude, your wrong.

You may be right, I honestly havent looked at anything pre d series motor.

But I did work on a number of hondas scooter engines from that era, and they are some of the most reliable engines out. They are in every chinese moped/atv/dirt bike being produced today.

Sorry man, but I think hes right, all my research has shown that we are good for approx 100 years, but beyond that is questionable. Plus my geology prof said the same, as well as a couple guest lectures I sat in on

I'm not sure but I think we haven't tapped into ours because its under a nature refuge.

Why isnt it being tapped? Cause liberals are trying there hardest to cease drilling... Your buddy is a pencil pushin number cruncher..... he hasnt seen it in person I bet.... just sits in a lab or at a desk and looks at a screen.....

And my family is full of engineers working for BP and they say just the opposite... The difference is.... were in the middle of it...

If you're talking about 1970's car in now-a-days then all of them would need work done to them. I doubt there is any that is still in perfect driving condition.

he's talking about some place by his house, his location says Wyo. as for the refuge that would be ANWR. there is no way to determine if or how much oil is actually their.

I will agree, japs make strong *** motors. I piss pounded my integra alot and it started for me everyday. I however dont feel the motor makes the car.

In the past 9-10 years ever since the new and newest GM truck body styles, the build quality has dropped. But the way my 91 Integra felt inside was way cheaper feeling then my 94 Tahoe.

why should we drill now? think of it from an economist stand point, if your right and we run out in 30 years, it will be worth MUCH MUCH more. So why drill now sit on it then when the middle east drys up, we will be the billionaires

Im in the middle of one of the biggest oilfields in the world.... Dont tell me how much there is.... when you can produce 80 barrels of oil a minute from one well...... times that by 50,000 just in this area
Oil will still be around for some time, but demand keeps increasing, and supply is steadily decreasing, so affordable oil will soon be a thing of the past. Especially once the world economy rebounds and people start buying at a high level again.

However, we can easily be energy independent within the next five decades, completely eliminating our need for foreign oil, which will also cut off a huge source of funds for terrorists (a big plus, especially for all you republicans). Unfortunately, it's going to take a lot of government mandates to make this happen, including increasingly strict CAFE standards, the implementation and development of alternative fuels, etc.

No sir. I'm speaking in retro-spec. This isn't a new problem. Honda and Toyota wouldn't have such great companies if they didn't have such a good foundation to work off of.
