Bye Bye GM....Thanx Liberals....

Safety measures??? OKAY explain this one....
With the new DPF on the diesels.... less emission are let into the air... BUT as a counter act... fuel mileage is decreased about 25%.... WELL.... your gonna fuel up more... AND guess where that fuel comes from?!?!?!? Oilfield.... In which liberals want to shut down... NOW HOW DOES THAT WORK??

Clifs:

Enviromental DPF and recirculation on new model diesels

Less Fuel Mileage

More Oil to be drilled to meet demand of less fuel mileage

Less Oilfields due to liberal control

Prices rise due to no oil being drilled/import oil prices rise due to demand....

So you pay more.... Use more.... To save More?!?!?!?

Where does it come out even?

Lets see your hybrid pull a 200 ton rig around......
I know of a few oilfield workers on this forum.....I want to hear a liberals answer...

And actually...its worse than 25% fuel mileage loss... my 99 cummins gets 21 mpg... Our new 08 cummins get 9-13 mpg...

im sorry to say but my gm blazer was a POS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
My blazer has always been good to me. its a 91 and i trust it more then any other vehicle ive had

and the EPA is full of liberals...

If there so **** keen on helping the enviroment.... why dont they give these gangs some bikes to do a drive by with instead of a 1970s pontiac.... with the rate of murder goin up... Theyd be killin two birds with one stone....

And actually.... its worse than 25%.... My 99 Dodge Cummins gets 21 mpg.... our new 08 Cummins get around 11-12Can anyone answer me that??? I know of a few oilfield workers on this site... I want to hear a liberals answer?!?!?
Im work in the oilfields in East Texas/La border, Lots of rigs laying down and being stacked over here, not looking good at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

once again, I'm speaking from more of a designer stand point. Because Honda was able to mass produce a cheap car every body went to them. They broke alot and people paid to fix it. This created a great foundation for them, leaving the American auto makers in a pinch.
Also Chrysler owns dodge which may still be owned by Daimler if I'm not mistaken, who is a German so IDK if its truely an American Auto maker if you look into it.

Now for the record, I have nothing against imports as a car. In fact I used to own in Integra and I;m looking into a Nissan. Difference is I'm looking at used cars, keeping money in the pockets of Americans.

Fact: Hondas since the d series engine was introduced have been more reliable than any domestic. Dont believe me, go look on the road at how many hondas are on the road with more than 200km on it

Laws/regulations force innovation just as much as competition. if they lower mileage 25% they are going to have to figure out ways to make it up.

Yea, and the Foreign cars sell better because they are much better designed. You wont find a stripped down toyota model, because it hurts the brand image, if Chevy could offer comprable features in a competitive model there sales wouldnt be in the toilet. So dont blame the consumer for the horrible business practice of GM. go look at the cavalier and put it side by side with a cobalt, there is nothing new or innovative about it.

Now go look at a 95 civic and a 2005 civic, alot more progress made there. Oh yea, they dont look the same either, GM doesnt change the lines of a vehicle unless they absolutely have to
I will disagree with you on that. A friend of mine is on his 4th transmission on an 05 corolla type s.

There isn't going to be any oil in 50 years bud.

On March 5, G.M. acknowledged in its annual report that its survival was in “substantial doubt.”
“Our recurring losses from operations, stockholders’ deficit and inability to generate sufficient cash flow to meet our obligations and sustain our operations raise substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern,” the company said in the filing.

G.M. said it could be forced to file for bankruptcy protection in a number of situations, including failure to receive more federal aid, failure to exact concessions from bondholders and the United Automobile Workers union, and further deterioration of an already dismal new-vehicle market in the United States.

Such information can be a bargaining tool for a company in discussions with its unions and other stakeholders who may resist concessions without proof of a company’s distress.

Despite the notice, G.M. said that it still believed it could be viable and that it did not intend to file for bankruptcy protection

When was the last time you were in a 70's honda? I'm not talking about current day honda's I am talking about early honda's.

You are a complete idiot.

Bullshit..... We have a vein about a mile from my house that is 45 miles long and 200 miles deep and 3 miles wide full of oil.... One of 48 found within a 300 mile radius...

From the calculations BP and Shell have given us we have enough oil RIGHT now in the veins and pockets that are already being produced and drilled to survive another 100 years.... THATS not including the new pockets and veins they find...

Alaskas northern Slop... which hasnt been tapped yet has more oil than THAT!!!

Im in the middle of one of the biggest oilfields in the world.... Dont tell me how much there is.... when you can produce 80 barrels of oil a minute from one well...... times that by 50,000 just in this area
