right now I am running a bxi1606 to 2 12 inch alpine type Rs at 1 ohm I have the gains set to almost 90% and the bass boost is it normal to have to set it this high to get it to sound good because any lower and it is barley moving the speaker

yeah bruh, i actually am running the same exact setup as you, i set my gains with a meter though and the gain knob is about 3/4 of the way up to set it at 36.4 and im running it off a 2V preout on my headunit and everythings fine

I dont have a sub level on my HU and my filters are at 30 and 90 Hz
Okay. 30 and 90 Hz. Can you be more specific? You have two filters. Is one for the subs and one for the main speakers? Are they set to lowpass or highpass? Do you have the lowpass filter for the subs set at 30 Hz and highpass for the main speakers at 90 Hz? Or something else?

If you have the lowpass for the subs set to 30 Hz, then that's your problem. That's much too low. Try 90 Hz.
