Looking to power a 15" XXX 1500 -2000 rms with low current draws and good damping factors. For right now I wont be upgrading the alt. yet. Any recommendation will help. Looking at the sundown 1500d but open to suggestion.

im not to familiar with that amp but had sum bad experience with Lightning Audio before plus they sell em at Wal mart. Kinda risky, wonder if its over rated?

kickers are very very efficent

zx 1500.1 is definitly what you're looking for.

Older Memphis Mclass amps are also fairly efficent, the 16-mc1500d would be nice.

I have some recommendations, since I was doing the exact same thing as you. My xxx 15 is in a snailshell box, and the 1st amp I had on it was a hifonics brutus 2006d....rated @ 2000x1, but closer to 1600x1. W/ that I was hitting 145.4 on the tl in my trunk, w/ nothing but the big 3 done.....the amp worked flawlessly, and never got too hot or anything. I've also had an orion 2500d, an alphasonik 2400 on it, and now an autotek mm3000.1 on it. It loves the orion and mm3000.1, but i was suprised how well it did w/ the hifonics.......and thats right in the power range you wanna be @

saw this amp, RD1750.1 says its over 90% efficient. Wondering if this amp is overrated or what not. Please anybody that has used this, chime in. http://www.rdaudio.net/amps/1750d.php

company in general product wise.

i havent heard anything bad about any of the amps, their new series looks rather interesting as well.
