my current crossover doesnt separate mids from highs only lows from mids/highs which makes my tweets sound crappy

okay well you can use a combination of your current crossover and use the crossover on your amps to bandpass the mids if you amp can go up to 1-4khz or so. how many channels is your amp?

A passive crossover should be made specifically for the speakers being used with it. Each model speaker needs a different crossover freq and passives worth messing with have a Besel filter built into them for the intended speaker that stabilizes the crossover freq so the impedence peak at resonance doesn't mess up the response.

That being said, you can get generic passives at Parts express. If you have the extra amp channels, tons of companies make active crossovers.

12db/octave attenuates frequencies below the xover point at a rate of 12 decibels per octave.

The 6db/oct slope attenuates frequencies below the xover point at a rate of 6 decibels per octave

So the 12db/oct has a much steeper roll-off below the xover frequency.
