I wouldn't do anything unless I got the title. I definitely wouldn't pay her any money for it.

You do realize NC is a PITA when it comes to lost titles?

Believe me, I found this out when looking at vintage bikes...I won't touch anything that doesn't have a clear, notarized title.

I got this for free, cleaned it up, rebuilt the heads and it drives me where I want to go...

They probably don't want to go through the trouble...which is why these cars are always cheap.

I dont known anything about the car being a z28 or LT or whatever besides what it says on it. All i know is it looks decent and its cheap. Has a manual ***** (assume its a 5spd) and a 5.7 v8 engine. Im an old car person myself, but it seems like a pretty good buy. Im gonna get the vin and run it before i do anything. The reason its so cheap is because the lady let her son drive it, he screwed the interior up, and she has other new cars so she doesnt care. Ill talk to her tommorow about the title and see whats up. May be able to jew her down to 250 on it since i have to pay for the title. I hear its almost 200 in some cases.

Your not Paying attention, Get the MVR-4 and the title cost is no more then normal.

It is a lost title form with a transfer to you. The added cost is for the DMV to notorize it and that is all.

Take her and the last regestration to the DMV, The last reg should have the vin and the owners names.

id pay her the cash as hush money, take the car and pull the engine and ****** out then take it to the river and dump it.

So i figured out why it was so cheap, 9 years ago she got a 1000$ loan on the car title, and never paid it off. Though she says the account is now closed and they have no info on her, the original title is lost but she has a copy of it. I was talking to her today and told her about going to the dmv and doing all that and now shes decided not to sell it as its too much "trouble". Fat ***** just doesnt wanna put her donuts down and ride somewhere to do something. **** her.

I noticed too today the car vibrates like a mofo when you rev it, and blows a bit of black smoke, starts right up though. Is that a normal thing with these camaros?

vibrating may be an engine mount and smoke may be burning oil

most likely it'll be the engine mount or transmission mount if its vibrating.
