but what they said was DBs arent all necessarily audible...just because it reads high on the meter doesnt make it loud to the ear...and we all know thats what im out for...loud to the ear...but thanks for the clear up...i think imma stick with the OA 12 or maaaybe the 15

then go with a 15 or 2 12's shoot for more cone area.

You'd be surprised what kind of output you'd receive from 2 12s at 300w each in a properly built enclosure. A doubling of power only results in a 3db gain output anyway.

why would i upgrade from a CVX to an L7 just to get a minimum gain of loudness out of it? thats a new box as well...they arent that great i know i want loudness but nothing over 200 as well....

and 300w a piece? to a 600w sub...hmm...id also need another box as well...dont know what size but id need one..which is even more money but hey ok...how much airspace would they need a piece?

If you really want lows look at DC. That's what they are designed to do. High excursion with very strong motors

You should set your stuff up so you can turn the volume up way higher to get the sound you want. If your hu goes to 50 something and you can only turn it to 30 before maxing it out then you have it set up wrong.

i dont have it set up wrong...i have it set up the way i want it...i dont want to have to turn my head unit all the way up to the mid 40s just to get it loud....and if i do that then that means at around 10-15 range itd be too quiet for me...im someone who constantly blasts my music so having it halfway max out at 30 is perfect for me..that way if i want to turn it down itd be around 20 or 15...thats about as low as ill listen to it...15-20 with amp matched with head unit...will be like whispering hummingbirds...lol plus since the battery i have now isnt the best and hasnt been replaced yet...the bass doesnt even turn on at lower volume or either its just waaaay too quiet...thats another reason why i have the gain slightly higher than normal

and @DCtC im trying to find a price for the DCs i looked at the lvl 3s n 4s but i cant find em outside of their site...

and you guys are saying to take the AQ over the Obsidians??
