I was going to buy 2 JL W3's but now having read many posts I dunno what to buy. I have heard great things about eclipse and alpine subs and I have heard many JL woofers. Please help me decide which to buy. I would like two woofers (if only one it has to have some nice thump) and I would like to spend less than $600 on the set or one woofer/s. Any advice would be thanked!

Ok I just ordered two alpine type R's they I havent heard them but like you I read alot of post and they sounded like they were good subs in my budget. Now I would totally go with eclipse titaniums if i could afford it probably over any sub but the W7 just my opinion. Then JL is everywhere and they are good sounding subs with low RMS so that is good but I dont like to follow the crowd but any of those and you will be fine.

I have to agree with JRMAX. I also have alpine R's on the way and if I could afford elclipse I would get them over any others. I haave a friend who has JL's and they sound pretty good. With all the research I've done the Alpine R's are the best for the money. You can find them as cheap as 135 each.

thx maybe I'll get two alpine R's instead! thx for all the help (I would love a JL W7 but those are like 750 for a 12 inch!!!!) way too much for my budget!

either go with the jl 12w6 or the alpine type R they are both pretty sweet. i saw the alpines earlier today but im not sure where. ill get back to ya later on that if i remember
