BRAHMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Or, if you feel like spending more money, some Jl W7's would be nice.

also, just to let everyone know, i don't have really any knowledge with car audio, i have been learning over the past month or so, and i ahven't decided whethe i will set this up myself or have it installed. anyways i was thinking alpine hu, alpine components, audiobhan amps, alpine type r subs. but i was curious of what other people would do with 3 grand.

and you come to 3 grand with that setup? With 3 grand you should be getting something better than type r's i think. I agree, go for a brahma. tell us what you want to spend more money on, speakers, subwoofer, HU, or at least how much on each.

well maybe i should spend 2 grand on all the main eqipment and levae another grand for instlation, box, and wires and the rest. I was thinking about alpine and audiobhan equipment, are they good brands or no?

2 12" Brahma's($360) and 2 ED nine.1 amps($240), that comes out to 1200...then an alpine h/u, umm around $300...thats $1500...a set of comps, $150-200, and an amp for them-~$200. That comes out to $1900. Wires add another $100, build your own box for $40, wiring kit for h/u, $30, thats about it....right around 2 grand...

if i were you. id get focals for comp speakers. around . SOLOBARICS L7 or the NEW ELEMENTAL DESIGN speakers or some BRAHMA subs. ALPINE is GOOD but i prefer PIONEER. then some Pioneer Premier AMPS. will tally almost 1400-1600 plus the boz and wiring. that will sound good as far as i am concerned.

does anyone have any links to these? coudln't find them on onlinecarstereo.com. are kicker, mtx, hifonics, and diamond audio any good? Oh, and I found out speaker sizes for maxima are 6.5. I guess I should get components for front and just speakers in the back? BTW, what is differnece between components adn speakers? And will I need a cap or two? How do they get hooked up?

I came up with some setup ideas...what does everyone think?

setup 1:

headunit: alpine

front components: infinity

rear speakers: infinity

amps: audiobahn

subs: alpine type r

2

headunit: alpine

front components: alpine

rear speakers: alpine

amps: alpine

subs: alpine

3

headunit: alpine

front components: polk audio

rear speakers: polk audio

amps: kicker

subs: kicker

4

headunit: alpine

front components: pioneer elite

rear speakers: pioneer elite

amps: mtx

subs: mtx

i might ask? i you going for the brand names or the quality of sound it brings. i mean you really want alpine.. i have no qualms about that my there are better things out there that wont cost you that much! and btw, forget the rear speakers man have a good front in kick panels. and good subs TYPE - r subs are good but there are better subs out there. KICKER, ELEMENTAL DESIGN BRAHMA it all boils down to your listening preference. go to some local audio store and listen to them.

btw, the 3rd option is good but change your fronts to some MB QUART, focal or morel components as for the subs KICKER SOLOBARIC L7 is a good one
