ok, heres whats up,

i talked my girlfriend into adding a pair of 12s and a amp to push them, i have a sealed box that is 1 cubics foot per chammber, we are on a 300.00 budget, shes not trying to break any spl records or any SQ records we just want a facelift done to the factory setup

we are keeping the factory head unit and door speakers, when the bass and trebel

is set right it sounds good for being factory so in a nut shell we just need a little thump in the trunk to complete the over all sound in the car please give me some types of setups and prices and where you got them from, just remember were not looking for the absolute best just some decent and small. thanks

well, just to start out...it's going to be pretty **** hard to find TWO 12" and an amp to power them. Try checking ebay. BUT, if ur on a $300 budget...it would prolly be in ur best interest to get 1 12" and an amp in a sealed box. That would perform better, and would satisfy what ur looking for. I'd recommend, an ed12k and a jbl300.1 @1ohm in a ported box at about 35hz. they CAN handle more power....but in ported box, u wouldn't need as much power as a small sealed box. There are more options...but i'll look around for ya. peace.

Since you're not doing a major overhaul and you have a relatively small budget to work with, you might want to look into one of the Infinity BassLinks (amp and sub together). All you would have to do would be to run the power, remote, signal, and ground wires and you would be done with it.

2 12"s (1241dvc at ~70 each is 140 subs).. and the lanzar vibe248 at ~$120.. under 300.. and supposedly runs 500 x 2 at 2 ohm (though, I'm not seeing that at the moment, but the 4 volt out on the HU seems wrong since I had to turn up the gains after getting rid of the 2 volt JVC)..

For adding a bit of bump to stock for cheap, that will probabaly be ok.. I still have to re-seal my boxes before I can say if it's boxes or subs that is sounding a but muddy.. could be the amps too, since they are at about 75% for gains *sigh*
