I went to lowe's and bought particleboard and had them cut it down to a few inches from where I'll need it... then realized about halfway home that particleboard and fiberboard aren't the same thing. So now I'm stuck with it (at least it's only 20 bucks worth of wood). Should I go ahead and build my boxes for the experience that way my mdf ones turn out better than they would? If I do build them will I be okay to use them for a day or two until I get mdf? Last question: if there's no mdf at lowe's or menard's then what wood should I use?

so where will it be? there was some laminated particleboard to the left of what I bought and regular plywood on the right. should it be in that area? I looked for anything that said MDF or fiberboard and (duh!) bought the junk that said particleboard lol. I guess that's what happens after being up all day, working all night and then trying to find something new at lowe's... or maybe it's just me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

so would the particleboard hurt to use for a very short time? I should find some sorry sucka to buy them to put their audiobahns or xplod's in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

what's up with tcab getting so much flak from everybody? is it one of those things I should research to find out?

how much will the mdf cost me? I figured it'd be no big deal but buying an engagement ring will cost a bit more than I was expecting and I'm leaving for California in 2 months. I'll be short on money to start out with so any extra I can save will help me. hence me asking if particleboard would work for the time being. But now "the time being" is more like a 6 month phrase as opposed to a few days.

mdf is about 20 bucks a sheet

MDF is 2-3 dollars more than particle board.

every store ivebeen to labels the wood, with colored lines down one of the sides.

what youre looking for is 5 runs of neon green (5 = 3/4 inch) and neon = MDF
