Building box for 1st SPL comp

So, I've been planning to sell my audiobahn 12 for awhile so its going up on ebay. I'd like to keep my Kole audio sub just because I got it so cheap. Is my Audiopipe sub out of the SPL realm? I mean just to use it until I get some money up.

Ok, I might just try out the 15. I have actually never even used this sub before. I bought it from a friend for pretty cheap. It doesn't have a huge magnet or crazy travel or anything, but It should be easily upgradable. Last night at the comp, the highest two 15 inch spl was 142 from a Q logic 15 with my amp in a 4 cubic Ft ported box, and a 143.8 in a 2 cubic ft box. Are these numbers low? I am pretty new to SPL comps. The equipment these 2 were using were certainly not top of the notch.

It will be in a BMW 540i. Unfortunately, the rear seat does not fold down. but, the same could be said about cadillacs whose trunk seal very well also.

try a 6th order bandpass
I'm sorry, I dont know what that is. I know the basics, but I'm constantly trying to learn new things.

Ok, just realized something(amazing isn't it?) I have a maximum height of 16 inches to mount a 15 inch speaker. I dont think that will work out. Does anyone have any box plans where the speaker is being fired upward and is tuned to a high hz? Will mounting the speaker firing upward hurt SPL?
