building 6.1cf^3 sub enclosure(pics)

ok so im going to build a new sub enclosure which will have 2 12" subs.

1.RE SX-100rms

or

2.FPI SSD/Q -800/1000rms

the box i have designed will have 6.1cf^3. This'll be my first design so bare with me. Im not too sure how to determine the best frequency to use.

what you have is tuned to around 27 - 28hz

which port calc did you use. all you do is enter in the specs...

port area is usualy determined by box size

~14-16 in^2 per cubic foot i believe?

You could shorten the port to 10" and get pretty close to 33hz, but you would probably want more port area.

so if i shortened the port length to 10" it should run at about 33hz? but I need more port area in order not to cause any distorted noise when the subs are playing?

i can change the thing entirely if you guys say so. what would be the recommened port area to achieve 33hz? it doesn't say on the site.
