Building 1st box

So i will be helping a friend build a box for his first sub. I have no experience in building boxes so I told him we would just do a simple sealed box. I figure a slot ported box would be too hard. Then i remembered about aeroports. Would it be easier to make a ported box with those instead of a slot port? The sub is a maw12

build a sealed enclosure and cut the circles out of aeros.

This may seem like a dumb question but how are the aeros attached and sealed to the box?

If you can cut straight then a slot port is pretty easy. My first box was a slot port and I never did any kind of wood working before that.

I have no idea where, but not in morgantown. But noone answered my question? about attaching the aeroports? If i do decide on a ported box, should i do slot or aero? I know that aeroports supposedly reduce port noise, but they also look easier to build...

If you cant make a slotted port box then a sealed box wont look much better.

i dont even know if i can stuff a ported box in the trunk of a 240sx. it has a TINY opening

Have you ever seen the inside of a 240 coupe? The opening is only 15inches, the arms from the lid extend pretty far down in the trunk which means there is only 11 inches of clearence to the bottom. Then there is a huge hump in the middle from the rear axle. Plus he still wants some of his trunk left.
