Build Your Own Ht 100"+ Projector For Cheap

All the way in the back!
If you stand up and block my view, you will be in pain via rott iron chair beemed across the room @ your head. If I miss, I have 4 more tries;) If I miss those consider yourself lucky until you return!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Seriosly, don't block my view. Ask anyone in my family and friends - they know;)

'ROD IRON' //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

itl only cost like $150 if you find a cheap + good screen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Can you build a HD one for that cheap? Or does it just depend on how cheap of a monitor you can find...

What do I get for $19.99?
You get the Lumenlab DIY 15" Projector Guide as a downloadable PDF document (guide revisions are free). You can upgrade to Version 2 (when released) for free. V.2 will contain the DIY 15" Projector Guide and instructions for building a much smaller, cutting-edge projector based on a 7" LCD panel. We will also give you access to the customer exclusive section of the Lumenlab forums where you can ask for help or advice and stay in touch with the latest Lumenlab design innovations.
I've had my eye on this project for awhile, but I dont have room for a huge vintage looking wooden crate in my place next year so I think I'll wait for the v2 plans described above and see if it becomes practical.

someone want to build me one for a small fee? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
whats a small fee //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

cost of monitor + cost of components + shipping + labour?

prolly like $250 or somthin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

depending on the monitor of course //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

my parts alone right now are around $500. I haven't stripped my moniter down yet and if I mess that up there will go another $200. The lamp and ballast cost around $100 and the lenses were around $50. My lcd was right at $200 but I found one with a tv tuner in it.

bah, screw TV tuner. use a lappy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

but if you can get your hands on a good 7" LCD you can still do quite a large monitor.

Whats the smallest size you can make the box up? Guess you can use a 5" monitor if you arent wanting a large projected screen..

Thought you all might like to see the insides of a REAL projector. Or atleast what one was in 1996.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I love my projectors, even though they're huge.
