I know every one including me hates these threads so flame away after you give an opinion.

Helping a friend on his new build. He already has a big nice one so now we are going cheap. Dodge colt. Interior is gutted and has been dynamated. Budget $1500 max. If you were to build it as loud on the meter as you could get and as cheap as you could get what would you do?

as much as I hate to say it type r's aren't bad for SPL on a budget.

For some decent power for cheapz...crunch pro's are nice on the wallett...

I agree. I told him for amps I would look into the crunch gp 3000 or a pair of them anyway.

they are def not bad for the money. I'd like to see them in a decent build, I say go for it.

Any thoughts on these? I've never seen or heard them but hey they got big numbers and are under 300. 2400 rms 4800 peak

I saw a single L5 put up a 150, maybe some L7's? Another good budget sub IMO

Yea, but we have 12 sheets of mdf and I'm a carpenter so box is not a problem.

12 sheets? May I ask why? Off topic, but where can you get 1" MDF?
