Build help for 15" Audio Technix Strato

Hi guys,

My 15" strato will be at my doorstep on Thursday and I'd like to get a start on building the enclosure. I think I want to go ported, sub up, port back. The rec ft3 are 3.25-4 so I'm thinking as close to 4 as possible with the dimensions of my trunk (Tiburon hatchback) at it's opening (smallest) being 35" wide, 28" deep, and 15" high. It's supposed to be tuned to 33 hz. Can someone help me out with a design or maybe just how much .75 mdf board I will need? How much in materials will this cost me? Any help is much appreciated!

Can someone please, please, please, help me pick out which of the free box designs from the sticky will work with my sub? On the sticky, the second to last post has all of the deisgns but they're not sorted and so I can't figure out which one has 3.8 ft3 and tuned 33 hz. Towards the top it is sorted out but the image has been removed. I don't know how to calculate the frequency or cubic feet when considering the port, so if one of you awesome people could assist in linking me to the proper design from that sticky I would be so very grateful! I'm sure the 3.8 33hz is in the unsorted images, but I just need help picking it out! Thanks

Nevermind //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif those aren't for sub up, port back. I jumped the gun... Anybody out there? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/titanic.gif.8089b7552c370bcc138aa121756d0c0b.gif

I will draw something up for you since I'm rather bored at the moment. As far as costs go a sheet of mdf by me is like 33 bucks at home depot and they can cut it for you a box of screws is probably 5 bucks and some titebond or titebond 2 is like 5-7 buck iirc that should be all that you need for a box of that size I will double check that it will only take one sheet when I draw up a cut sheet give me a little time and I will have something for you.

please? haha
Alright so I finally got this thing uploaded to photobucket and such it's taken me more time to upload it to this page than it did for me to draw it and the cutsheet combined. The box is 3.85ft^3 net and tuned to 33hz as requested I designed it with 15.75 inches of port area per cubic foot as I believe it will perform better. I will note however that I assumed that you had the ability to cut 45's and if not the volume will go up which will lower the tuning slightly also since I didn't know the cutout dimensions I just guessed 14" since it should be close also I based the subwoofer displacement off of the sa-15 so it should be fairly close also. If you need anything else just ask and I'll answer them as well as I can.

The sub and enclosure have been rocking my world! Much thanks!
