budget minded system for work truck

hi im looking for a hu and some speakers for my 06 chevy 1500.will 6.5s fit, crutchfield says they will with a adapter but i want to be sure. i would like to get a set of 6.5s around 100-150. also i want to get a double din touch for around 300. i know ipods are compatible but are other phones. i have a old alpine ida in my jeep and my samsung galaxy wont play on it, but it is a old hu. do they make a dash kit for the double din touch for my model truck. all the double din kits i have seen have the slot on the bottom of the hu. thanks
