Budget 12"

My bro needs a budget sub. Looking for the best 12 for the job. Its going in 2.4 net cubes (before sub displacement), tuned to 32hz. Will be powered by an MRP-500. Setup is in an Intrepid.

One of my first thoughts, actually. But used ones are a bit rare, and usually over 100 shipped. The box and power would be great for it, though.

That would be nice, but i doubt it. Not for under 100, anyways.


Here's the enclosure its going in.

@Llama Jockey ; buillt it in his HS shop class with me on the other end of his cell the whole time, lol. Its out of the free box plans thread, but I had him add a 45 to the port. His first enclosure looks hella better than my first....

Installed that audiopipe in my buddies car and it sounds decent for what it is..Def worth the price on them

I had a be15 on 1000 rms, and I was shocked at how loud that $130 sub got. Very good subs on a budget. But I have a feeling the high mms is going to be a detriment with only 500 wrms on tap... Then again, it might be alright with the slightly oversized enclosure.

I second the Audiopipe, i had a 10 on 1000rms for a while and sounded good!

We only have about 400-600rms on it and in his monte carlo it gets down for a single 12

I have one of those in my wife's car and they are good, you can tell spider is stiff when you first run them they get better after a few days of running them
