Well, I sold one of my DC XL M1 18's. The DC's are my favorite subs I've ever had. Accurate, surprisingly natural sound. My box is 13 cubes @ 29 hz, 12.3 in^2 per cube, so it's a more of a musical box. I can play up into the low 60's and down to 20 hz with authority. I did a 149.3 @ 35 hz and 147.1 @ 29 hz. They were D1.4 voice coils, so my amps didn't like that at all. Above about 55 hz, my voltage drop was terrible. Otherwise, 25-55 hz I stay no lower than 13.8v. 20-25 hz I usually don't drop below ~13v. 60 hz and up, I would drop stupid low voltage, so I had my crossover set @ 50 hz with 18 db/octave slope on the head unit. My subsonic is set at 10 hz, NEVER bottomed out.
Charging system: 300 amp alt charging @ 14.9-15v with my external voltage regulator. Up front is batcap 3k and in back is 3 100 ah powerware batteries. I have 2 runs positive and 2 runs negative to the back.
We have 10 of the V1 CT Sounds Strato 18's. I'm going to run 2 of those in the 13 cube box on my two eD 9.1's strapped (2400w @ 12.5v). I'm really going to test these hard. I had made a box for 4 of the CT Sounds but they are so stiff I didn't have enough power for them. I mean these things are STIFF. 500w rating is just not right IMO. I couldn't even get the 4 of them to break in really off my power. Here's that box (now sold/gone):

If the 2 can't handle my amps, I'm going to design and build a box for 3 of them to go in my vehicle. I'll let you guys know the results. Tell me what you think.
