got two older model AT strato 15's in sealed boxes currently.
Over the past year I've realized something. The subs are rated 400-500wrms each.
i notice when I turn up the volume from 250 to 500wrms (500 to 1,000wrms total), there is no significant difference in output. There is no significant voltage drop, especially when I'm driving and not idling. The coils are 2.5in.
what's happening? Is this compression because of lack of x-max (25mm one way), or because of the undersized sealed box? Or something else?
