Buck Box Designs - New Picture Log

I was running an XFL1222 on a Lightning Audio amp in a 3 series convertible. 1,100 watts (allegedly) at 1 ohm. Sounded awesome.

We had 2 XFL 12's in 5 cubes @ 34 hz with some big port area, on a audiopipe 3k (yeah yeah I know), it was flexing the wheels of that Le Sabre dude, we had wheel flex, grill flex, the rear deck fell in, it was bad. Rear seating area was unsuitable for sitting. He should've braced the rear deck more, had a few 6x9's in there, the rear deck literally just broke in half basically, and he had to cut it all of the way out.

Then my 2 18's made the shop roof collapse on his 6x9 deck with the speakers still in! I literally made the roof fall in and the only spot it fell in was right on top of 6x9 deck. Idk, you tell me.

Like I was giving a demo outside, and we come back in, and a few ceiling tiles were missing and landed right on top of his 6x9 deck :ROFLMAO:

I shouldn't laugh, I broke his rear deck and then broke the ceiling onto his rear deck. What a weird time that was.

This is one of my customer's lithium battery bank, something along those lines. I've done boxes for this guy for like 8 years, and he sent me a pic of this. I'm kind of speechless, that just looks like pain and power lol:

2 older model Alpine Type R 12's ported in a mid-size SUV. Those of you who want a lot of usable cargo space and good bass at the same time, you can make a box like this that is very deep, as tall as possible, but pushed all the way to one side of the vehicle, so you have the biggest usable cargo space that you can get.

Blacked out some parts, but this is some of the math behind one of the recent series 6th orders:

Series 6th orders are fun.

I really want to do a home audio Parallel 6th order, for myself. Or some variation of a horn. I know parallel 6ths, paired with the right woofer, would do what I want it to do, inside of a house. My ported, almost-full-range towers play down to about 40-45 hz with authority. I don't even have the towers crossed over, as far as the 3 5.25's in each tower, on the low end (no high pass filter). With the right sub, I could easily get a decent pressure response from ~20 hz to 50 hz or so, which is all I would need. The size of the 6th might be limited, so I may have to use a smaller woofer, and I would use it more for music than anything. So I might miss some lower 20's, depends on the woofer type I could fit.

This little sealed 8 that's like half as old as I am is just not cutting it, below my desk. My towers play lows just as good as it does, at least audibly. Decisions decisions. Maybe I should just start building myself horns until I nail the process.

This is a box I design for 2 Skar ZVX 15's. Turned out really well! All double baffle box, owner said he's surprised at the loudness, they're being broken in on a 1500-2000 watt amp. They will eventually be on a 4500w amp, Skar I think.
