Broadening my Music Taste

brock you never replied to my PM.. if it sucked that much u couldve just said, "it sucks this much," and then stretched your arms out. but no, you're too cool to respond to an up-and-coming superstar producer slash entrepeneur but its ok man its your loss one day when you see me on TV and you're like, "dude i taught that dude everything he knows **** i should've replied to his PM" and all the peoples around you are like, "yea right, sure you did Brock ha, and i boned jennifer anniston while she was married to brad pitt" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

1. I'm assuming you're being sarcastic...

2. I rarely even read my PMs...

3. You didn't specify which track you wanted me to comment on in your message

4. Catch me on AIM and I'm more than happy to talk. Everyone knows this.

For future reference...if you send me a PM, just assume I'm not going to read it.

AIM : Brocktologist

Sorry for the confusion.

The new Tool Cd 10,000daysBest.....evar
Jazz, funk and acoustic? Strike, strike, strike! Although I do dig the album a ton.

I have this song on my SQ eval disk by the Holy Cole Trio...it's a cover of I Can See Clearly Now...awesome song to tune to! I imagine the rest of her stuff is good, but will probably put you to sleep...unless you really like mellow jazz.

Diana Krall is another great voice in what you are looking for.

x2 on 10 000 days

i really like the new james blunt album, especially the songs wisemen and billy

i have gotten into some "indie" ,i guess they call it, music, such as death cab for cutie

paul simon (check out 'graceland' or 'there goes rhymin' simon')

joe satriani (check out 'crystal planet' or the song "up in the air")

Kings of Convenience (any of it, check out the song "toxic girl")

Blind Melon's always good

Jane's addiction's amazing, may take a few listens to get into it, tho

bob marley, peter tosh, or jimmy cliff are good chill music

Massive attack, or any sort of trip-hop's been my latest kick, i don't even know how to describe it. Look up the song "teardrop" by Massive Attack.

The Cure's good, every album is hit or miss, tho. And usually take a few listens all the way through before you can really "get" any of them.

The Talking heads are amazing if you enjoy modest mouse, or any of the "the" bands, which all owe the heads their souls.

Old Smashing Pumpkins

311's first few cd's always make me smile, if you've never heard them (grassroots is the best)

Traffic, Grateful Dead, Some older Phish

The Misfits are sweet, just ridiculous "horror movie" themed punk. Beats the piss out of listening to someone's politcal adjenda for an hour straight.

.... I'm sure there's other's you may enjoy, but that's about everything i've been listening to lately.

But when in doubt, i've never heard a Beatles song i didn't like. Second best band evar next to the pixies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
