bridged means for a 4 channel?

RMS Power 4-Ohm: 120W x 4

RMS Power 2-Ohm: 190W x 4

RMS Power 4-Ohm Bridged: 380W x 2

i have 6.5 components thats rated at 200 RMS and 400 MAX

so i want to buy this 4 channel amp its 380w x 2 @ 4ohm

so that means each side is getting 380Watts right? so 180watts to my tweater and 180 watts to my 6.5 mid bass? how does that work exactly

It is 380 going to the tweet and the mid; they are a system, each will use the part of the power it needs. If you were to run close to that much to a normal tweeter it would fry on the first note! I would not expect your tweeter to see more than 20 watts ever. Most of the power will go to the mid. Depending on the way you have the mid installed, and high passed, it might distort with as little as 50 watts. I am not saying that such a big amp is not going to be helpful. It's just that you should not get so into power ratings.

What speakers do you have, and what amp are you looking at?
