SVC 4 ohm subs, can be wired to 8 ohms or 2 ohms so if its bridged at either one of those im pretty sure it wouldnt be pretty for the amp bro..
The subs are 600rms each? Or 600rms total? SVC4 ohm each? If so then what load do you have them wired to on the amp?Subs are SVC 4ohm 600RMS Amp is 2ch 800rms @ 4ohms bridged subs subs were bridged on the amp with the gain set to 0 and the bass boost on maybe 1-2db
a lot of people can't tell the differenceThat's what I would guess but if he's sending a clipped signal the distortion would make it sound like ****...but then again, maybe he can't tell the difference?
You just said the amp was rated at 800rms at a 4 ohm load...600rms each, amp sees a 2ohm load so thats 1200rms of speaker to 800rms at most and unless the amp was dicked with when i wasnt there everything has been kept low.
Its not distorted either it sounds pretty good for a couple of PRs.
I am simply asking if there is a smell sometimes at break in or not.
So you wired them in parallel, and then bridged the amp? You're running 1 ohm.600rms each, amp sees a 2ohm load so thats 1200rms of speaker to 800rms at most and unless the amp was dicked with when i wasnt there everything has been kept low.
