box ?

I bought a kicker L5 10 and a kicker 400x1 mono amp to put in my 08 avalanche. Took to the local car audio place and they put it in a box that is really small. They actually called me to tell me it wouldn't fit and they were going to reface it to make room for the magnet. So anyway I have a l5 in a tiny boy and it sounds pretty bad and I don't know if it is the box sub or amp. I can get a little bit bigger box i'm putting it between the front console and the back seat. will the bigger box help or is there another reason why it sounds bad.

I cant tell you how small this box is. not much bigger then a shoe box but the assured me it would work fine

for ported kicker reccomends1.25 to 2.25 cubic feet for sealed it would be anywhere from .66 to 1.28 cubic feet

it is like 6 inches deep on top 10 to 12 on the bottom and 14 inches square on the face sealed sound small?

You should drive by that audio shop and chunk that box through there front window
