Ok I have a 85 toy pu single cab and want to put 2 10" Orion XTR3 in it. They recommend .75 cu ft for each speaker. Would it sound the same if I built 1 long box or built 2 small truck box style. What I mean by sound the same. I'll looking to get the hard bass hitting sound. Also all boxes being sealed. About 6 yrs ago I use to have 4 15" in a ford ranger ext cab and enjoyed the way it sounded. I know I can't get the same sound out of 2 10".

um by the sound of it I would not say 4x 15's will sound anything like 2x 10's you will not feel the bass you would like the 15's and if you want "hard hitting bass" then you might want to look at the ported design sticky...

If you build two serparate boxes, you lose Vb (which is even more critical in a reg cab since you have little to no room from the start). Build one single box for both and call it a day. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

there are 10's that would kill 4 15's in sq and SPL though it just depends on the room you have and the model of subs you pick
