Box tuning?

I just picked up this box for free and i used tuning thing over on bcae1.

to find the tuning of this box using the external dimensions. But id like someone with more experience to double check the tuning for me if you can.

Its a slot ported truck box for a 10" sub outer dimensions are:

Length= 48"

Depth 1= 4.5"

Depth 2= 7.5"

Height= 14.5

i didnt build the box tho all i know is the box outer dimensions and im trying to figure out the tuning of it based off that

I dont see where it says the port length, width, and height. Also ur missing the thickness of the wood used.

I know the outside port Length is 13" tall and the width is 2" but idk the length inside the box i measure where its mounted at on the outside and it looks to be 22" in length hope that helps

No, it doesn't help. We need to know exactly how long it is before we can help you calculate the tuning.

I would say it's about 1.5cu.ft @42hz

It's really not hard at all. Just take a tape measure and see how long the first port panel is from the front of the box back as far as it goes. Then, measure how long the back port panel is (if there is one) by going through the sub cutout.

Without those dimensions, there is no way to know what it's tuned to. It's bullshit to guess a size and tuning. We also need to know how thick the wood is.

Since I'm pretty sure you're going to fail at getting and naming dimensions, I made an mspaint drawing to show you what we need to calculate the tuning:

Make sure to get the lengths of each of the colored lines. We also need the height of the port. Don't forget wood thickness.

13" tall

2" wide

Port length 1 = 4.5" at the bottom 2" at the top since its a slanted truck box

Port Length 2 = 23"

3/4 Mdf Wood

Is this basically what it looks like (all of the dimensions are like you said)?

If so, then it is 1 cube tuned to 44hz. Once we have all the necessary information, it takes all of about 5 minutes to figure it out.
