Box size too big?

I have a Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12 sub and im looking for a box. It says i can have 1.25 cubic feet max for a box. if i buy a box that is 1.3 cubic feet should i be ok? and what does more or less space do to the sound of the sub?
Thanks
There are some women that say size don't matter...but...... I think youd be safe with that box size

I recommend a 1.86ft3 compression chamber with a bottom surface area of about 267.84in2, and a 12X3.75" port or 44.48in2. This is based on specific parameters. Just a thought.
