box size/ ported, etc. help??

need to get a good size sub enclosure for 2-RE SX 15'' SUBS. It will be going in a 93 caprice. anyone with a good recommend box let me know. MDF/FIBER etc.

will this be to much for a daily driver setup!!

That setup should sound pretty darn good. Far as electrical wise, in my opinion, u are going to need to get a high output alternator. My friend had a 93 caprice with a directed 1100d on it, and his lights dimmed bad. I mean, 2000W is alot of power for any stock electrical system.

But on the other hand, i had my tsunami 1800 on my stock electrical system. Matter fact, its still on it. even though i ordered me an 180amp alternator a few weeks ago. Just havent had time to install it. My lights dim and voltage drops so low, that sometimes my cd player cuts off on long hard bass notes.

I say keep your set up, just go ahead and spend the extra money for a new alternator. because a caprice trunk is huge, and u want enough boom to be felt in the inside. So if you change set ups, it may make your electrical system happy, but leaves alot to be desired far as output . Just my 2 cents

by the way what will be a perfect ported box for the SX 15 subs. what should it be tuned to??? etc..... and where can i find an alternator with higher amps

Im not really familiar with RE products, but im guessing about 3-4 cubes each tuned to about 34hz should be fine. But hopefully someone else who has used them could assist you with that. Ummmm, u could call RE and ask what they recommend.

As far as high output alternators goes, you can holla at Dom Iraggi. I bought mine from him. I havent got a chance to install it yet, but i heard from numerous people on other forums his work is good. You can reach him at 615-287-7991
