Box Size for 4 RE8's

i see the people that have for RE8's have boxs that are around 3-3.5 tuned to 30-35hz. but what i dont understand is why they arent like 2ft^3 because Re recommends .5ft^3 for a single one.

Also what size would you recomend for my 4 RE8's.

okay, jemorgan has 3.5 cubes, i know that, im building a cube box as soon as JMac verifies my plans, the bigger box is more for the cometition side of things.

if it's ported, a single chamber box is the way to go...

otherwise, you'll lose your sanity trying to build four identical tuned ports //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif an L-shaped slot port is your friend, hehe.

have you run that through WinISD to make sure you don't get port noise?

Port noise is why I like big slot ports...tougher to get noise that way.

t/x parameters are the technical specs of the sub, for a better explanation. if u PM Jmac he can sell u some plans or you can go to http://www.gnomeaudio.com both great places for plans. If you do go through gnome audio, u may as well buy the box from them, TELL THEM I SENT YOU lol please. My box before displacement was right at 3 cubes, and its a ported box so you choose. i hear they are amazing SQ woofers sealed, but i hope your not a SQueer
