Box size for 1 12'' Type R?

All that I am really lookin for is for it to hit the lows pretty hard...Would a larger box tuned the same as a smaller box accomplish this?

the larger enclosure will have an extended frequency response compared to the smaller enclosure, even if they're both tuned at the same frequency.

for that particular sub, i would go with a 2.5cu.ft @31Hz, it frequency response will extend down to an F3:25Hz and will cover up to 80Hz and above. it will sound great with pretty much any song you trough at it.
