alright, i just picked up a 1000 watt amplifier *fosgate power series* and im looking to push some RE8's with it, i dont think it does rated power so i should be safe, and well my dad doesnt want my back seats gone so if i build a small sealed box, and put the amp on them will they be safe *for while hes in town only* and then move them to sealed, i think i remember the smaller the box the power u cant throw at the subs correcT?

The smaller the box, the less efficient the subs are (they can handle more power). The larger the box, the more efficient they are (they need less power).

And I wouldn't doubt that a RF Power series amp puts out rated power. I'm sure it puts out every bit it is rated for and then some. The power series amps have always been pretty dang good.

well i hope it doesnt it lol, cuz i dont want to push these 8's to blow. what can 4 of them run at? 4 of the DVC 4's (i know this is the wrong thread to ask but please)

nah, i aint doin 8 ohm, guess ill see whats up with getting a little less power from it, i know the gain aint a volume control, but is there a way to kinda lower minimally the wattage, cuz i dont want to stay sealed.
