Right now i'm making 2 seperate tube-ported boxes for my shivas. Boxes are around 1.75cf tuned to 29hz. Currently i'm running 2 1.58cf Sealed Enclosures, so hopefully going ported will increase output and lowend. I'm no where near finished, but i took a few pics as i'm making it and here are a few. I'll keep you updated and take more pictures as the project continues.

Any suggestions/comments would be much appreciated.

Bring it in the house or put a space heater out there somewhat close to it.Your wood glue is just freezing..........
Its being built in a building that stays at 40 degrees, so thats not possible.

Take it easy on the glue and/or caulk

Looks like some clean cuts so far!
I was told theres no such thing as TOO much glue:D

Also..I need advice on how to actually mount the PVC pipe to the box. SHould I just glue it, or screw it to the box somehow..maybe caulk it up a bit..? I'm still new to building boxes so any info helps.

Plain ol' carpet from Wally World...gets the job done.

(just an update..no pics this time)

Alright..I got another chance to work a little more on my boxes. Today I made cutouts for the subs and for the ports. Ran into a little bit of a problem..

When i cut the hole for the first port, it was too small. I figured I'd file it out untill it was a really tight fit. In an attempt to get that sucker in there..I hammered on it untill it fit. Only problem is I split out a little bit of mdf around it and i'm currently holding the pieces together with a little gorilla glue and a clamp.

Tomorrow I'm doing terminal cutouts and attempting to put in my pvc pipe port...along with securing the tops. Cant wait to hear what will happen to my shivas in these boxes..

..its too late now i guess and its my own fault for not checking the directions first.

Thats just another box building tip to add to my list now.
