I Didint read the thread...Do you have port noise??? I would definatly flare those ends If you have noise.

Yeah, some..but only on certain frequencies.

I'm considering exchanging my amp for a hifonics bx1000d, and i've heard that more power will increase the chance for port noise. I originally wanted to use 4" pvc to solve that problem, but that would've made the length of the port too long for my box.

I woulda thrown the subs in 1 box....but hey, that's just me and woulda saved ya a lotta work.

I did two separate just incase one would happen to blow, that way i'd have use of the good sub.

Thanks for all the comments you guys. More suggestions/tips or comments would be appriciated greatly.

would you guys recommend on sealing around the pvc hole? would it affect sound?

I sealed around the outside edge of the port on the inside of the box. I can assure you there isn't any air getting out.

IIRC the glue bottle says everything (glue and wood) be above 70 degrees but it's been a while.

BTW: The shivas can move some air so I don't doubt you have port noise.
