Box Help

I'm going to build a box thats about 5 cubic feet for 2 12 s12l7's. I want to tune it to something thats gonna be loud and still retain some decent sound quality maybe 60 percent spl and 40 sq. I want that boomy sound in my bass. What would you suggest I port the box too? Maybe 35-45 hz for a daily driver that would sound good? I don't want to sacrafice much tonal range for loudness.

Also I'm not positive how to make the port reguarding the length, width, and height. If i keep the same overall area does it matter what the L, W, or H is of the port?

Any suggestions are welcomed...i'm lost..
