box help for my setup.

ok i got 2 infinity kappa perfect 12d vq 400wrms 1600wmax. i plan to have about 500ish on each. now i want to go spl. so my guess is a ported box with the slot for the port. when it comes to box calc i have no idea whats going on. so if anyone could point me in the right directions would appreciate it.

I think the first thing people will tell you is if you want spl, you may want to look somewhere other than infinity. They are known mostly as a sq sub.

eh oh well then ill go for SQ compared to my last systems this is a BIG difference in quality. so if i go for sq should i go for seald? or still port maybe. i could even go seperate from what i read these subs dont need alot of space.

ive got 2 infinity perfect 10.1s ported to 35 hz and it gets plenty loud

ok so i guess since these are more SQ ill go with a sealed box. now i dont kno much about calculating a sealed box. my current box is 2 seperate sealed with an amp rack in the middle. that box is 36" wide and 20" deep and its 16" tall...but i dont like this box much cause the subs face up.

i dunno if this helps in my setup but i found this in my book. although i thought you only needed Xmax when building ported box's but ive never built a box thats in specs befor.

Xmax is 11/16" (16.75mm).
