Yay my XXX 15 is being built! Now for the box...

Well I was going to get my box built elsewhere but I decided to try it myself. I can design it myself but I am clueless as to how to tune it... I want it at ~30 herts. I'm gonna build the box 16"H 36"W and 20" deep, it should be around 4.5 cubes. some where near half the Sd of the sub. i always tell people to call the company they got it from though; they know what boxes work best for their subs. if their customer service is half decent, you should be able to provide them with the maximum dimensions in your car and have them tell you what the dimensions of their box should be.

the Xmax of your driver. whatever it is, enter it.

I came out with:

Minimum diameter of 11.28 inches

Min. area of 99.92 inches

and a 10 inch side length

dude.... port area is based on waht you want it.... get a set port area (slot ported).

mines is ~40"^2 (well 39.5 to be exact). lol did you not get the PM i sent you earlier?!?!?

go 3" x 15" (45"^2 of port area, and so the internal height will be 15") and figure out how long the port length will be, then i'll design the actual box itself for ya so we can measure the trunk and everything
