i just got this sub from a friend and it is in really great condition. its dual 2 ohm and will be running off my autotek 590.2. so it will be seeing around 550 rms. it's going in a single cab gmc sierra and the box will replace my center console. not looking for anything fancy. just something to get decently loud.

here lies my questioning. would a down firing box sound best? this is what i have been told alot recently. so if i do sub firing down should the port also fire down or up? i can fit about 1.8 cubes gross. looking to do about 1.2 net tuned to 34hz. just looking for advice before i start cutting.

yeah but my question was positioning. the box is going in a single cab truck. i dont know whether to do downfiring with port up or port forward with sub down or what configuration would be best sounding.
